Here are two great songs performed by the little known but fabulous singer Teal Joy, and typical of her style and versatility.
Nicknamed "the Oriental Billie Holiday", Teal Joy is a Japanese-American singer from the 1950s belonging to the musical family of Pat Suzuki and Miyoshi Umeki.
Here we have two examples of her special talent: the first number installs an atmosphere à la Billie Holiday, the second number highlights her eccentricity and recalls at times Eartha Kitt's electric style!
Enjoy Teal Joy's big voice!
