Blossoms will run away -
Cakes reign but a day.
But memory like melody,
Is pink eternally

Gwen Bari

Here is a delicious song performed in 1961 by the today unfortunately forgotten singer Gwen Bari.
Born in Philadelphia of a musical family, Gwen Bari earned acclaim as a child prodigy on both the violin and the piano. Winning a scholarship to the Juilliard School of Music in New York City, she studied voice and soon went into the professional world of night clubs and radio. Her credits include the smartest clubs and hotels in the world (New York, Miami, the West Coast, Paris, St. Moritz, Madrid, London, Hong Kong, Tokyo and even a royal command performance for the Chinese generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek on Formosa). Her singing is warm and relaxed and has the amazing ability to start a mood and finish it.
Enjoy Gwen Bari's soft, husky and so feminine voice!
